Party Information!

Haillo my little comets! Guess what? My birthday is coming up in 2 weeks! (Roughly.) Because of that, I've decided to throw a birthday party at my den. I've included a little party 'invitation' at the bottom of this page that includes all of the information. :3

Also, I have a quick question. What do you guys want me to do at the party? I have a list of scheduled activities that we can do:
  • 'Find-the-plushie' game. (They'll be hidden under huge cakes.)
  • Follow the leader.
  • Fashion shows!
  • Random trading.
  • River Race in groups of 4. (And if the party is smaller we can switch off between people.)
  • Other multiplayer games.
  • 4 Gem Challenge! Can you beat me at 4 Gem? (I'm terrible, though!)
This is the first time that I've ever hosted such a big party before, so some game suggestions would be appreciated. The party will probably last for about an hour or two.

Gifts are not necessary! I just want to hang out with y'all. :)

See you around,
~Comet

'Naming' Items & Glitches

Hello Jammers! Before I begin the actual subject of this post, I want to tell you guys about a few things. First, I can access Animal Jam at home now. (I don't know how it happened, it just randomly started working again.) Yay! Thank you guys so much for your support and your helpful comments, I couldn't have managed it without you. :)

Next, I got a pretty scary message from a jammer today:
Now, I'm not sure if this jammer meant it as a joke, but probably not. And besides, joking about things like this is really uncool. Hacking is scary, and it's heartless to do, since other people worked so hard for their items. My best advice to not get hacked is to lock your account every time you log out.

Also, I've been experiencing tons of glitches lately around Jamaa:
When I try to open up my 'customization' page, the loading circle appears for a good 10 seconds. Then, the loading thing disappears, and when I try to go somewhere, it glitches out and my fox disappears. Hmm, odd. It hasn't fixed for me yet. XD

Plus the loading glitch didn't even let me load my buddies sometimes:
Poor buddy list...

Anyways, moving on to the main point of this post: Have you guys ever 'named' an item that you really liked? It doesn't have to be rare or anything, just something that you like. For example, here is an item that I really like:
You may be going like, "WHAT, a tiara? Why!? It no interestante!" Well, I named this tiara The Friendship's Gem, and it's because a really, really good friend of mine (amq9) gave me this tiara as a gift when I was a NM. I used to love light blue, and she changed the tiara color for me, which was very sweet of her. I've kept it since.

Amq9 quit Animal Jam a while ago, but she's still on DeviantArt and she's an amazing artist, so we still keep in touch. c:
I've named my founder GoldenStar, which is pretty self-explanatory. ^.^
My favorite mech color, (though honestly I really like all of them) I decided to name it SnowyFeather. That's also pretty self-explanatory, too, though I used 'snowy' in the name because I always wear the mech on my fox, Eternal Snowymoon. :3
And this bow that I love, White. It's a pretty boring name, I know, but it's so fitting. Le little White!

Those were just a few items, I would add more, but I have many that I like on the game. It's sort of fun to name them, so I recommend you try it. There's always going to be items that appeal to you, so feel free to name them! (For example, I named my white Deer Fur SantaClausBeard.) Haha!

Before I wrap this up, I have a message for RockyTop2:
(I had to edit all of them, but most of them said 'yes.' At least, the ones that didn't end up in the recycling bin because they said 'no.') :3

See y'all later!

Eagles & Updates!

Hello Jammers! Today I have some good news:
I managed to get on Animal Jam, which is amazing. Unfortunately, the bad news is that the only reason I can get onto Animal Jam is because I am at a different location; so that means that I still can't log-in at home. Hopefully the problem resolves itself!

Next piece of information:

Eagles are here! They look pawsome. (Of course they're in the Diamond Shop and that I don't even have enough money to buy one anyway.)
There is also a new game called "Swoopy Eagle." You know what the hilarious part of this is? The fact that it's very similar to an app called 'Flappy Bird,' a game that was a complete hit in Apple Stores and became famous in a week! However, the game was so hard that many people complained to the person who had programmed it, and he got so much hate that he eventually took the game down.

It's pretty funny how Animal Jam mimicked that app... :3
There are also some new items in the Diamond Shop:
It's a little sad that the dragon glove was brought back, I had been collecting those. Oh well. I'm pretty sure that Animal Jam is going to bring back the rest of the gloves as well; such as lava gloves, mummy gloves, etc. x3
And the remaining clouds were also brought back. Interesting. (Actually, I think those clouds are way prettier than the other ones, just my personal opinion though!)

I also have some other things that I want to nitpick out of the Jamaa Journal:
So, AJHQ has noticed out complaints about the chat system. At least they've acknowledged that they've noticed, that's nice! Sadly they didn't really change anything, but I could understand why they would eliminate some symbols...not all, though. There isn't really a need to eliminate ALL of the symbols. XD

Also, look at this!
Yay! AJHQ is using puns, too! It's a COOL item, and it's a snow cloud! Hahaha. I must laugh at that, I must, even if Animal Jam probably didn't even mean to be punny. :P

That's about it for today, happy Jamming! I'm going to call AJHQ later tonight to ask about why Animal Jam doesn't work at our house. ^.^

Help? Technical Problems.

I've sent an email to Animal Jam...they haven't replied, my internet's fine, but yet Animal Jam still refuses load. I've checked various times throughout the day, it's not working.

Others are still logging into Animal Jam just fine...what's wrong? Does anyone have any advice? I'm about at my wit's end here. If I can't access Animal Jam, that means that I'll have to discontinue this blog, or change it up or something. It's a terrible thought. I won't get to visit my buddies either, only a few that I can still talk to over our blogs.

I hope I will be able to access the site sometime...the fact that after everything, it still doesn't show...I'm worried that I messed something up. >_<

Information 'bout Stuff!

First thing's first: I can't log in to Animal Jam because the homepage won't load at all:
I've tried using various browsers, updating my Adobe Flash Player, and I've tried accessing the website on a different computer. None of it works, but at least my dad's computer didn't work, either, so it's either a wireless problem or a website problem. However, it's probably a wireless problem, (even if our wireless is fine and works perfectly everywhere else), but it seems that everyone else can log onto Animal Jam and post on their blog about the new item.

*Stares at Rocky* O_O

Haha, so odd am I. Feel free to visit her blog, it seems to be the only updated blog post at the moment: ajroar.blogspot.com

Next thing I have to say:
This blog is called the "Animal Jam Help Desk." First of all, this just SCREAMS wrong. Animal Jam wouldn't make a blog on a different server (blogspot.com), and it already has a 'help desk' on its website. Second of all, sure, this impersonator might've made it SOUND a lot like Animal Jam, but look closely at the second paragraph:

"Some jammers have been having problems typing in the chat box while playing animal jam. If you are having trouble, just leave a comment with your parent email linked to your account and your parent dashboard password. This way we can contact as soon as possible. Play wild!"

AJHQ has never asked for a parent dashboard password. Never. Yes, they've asked for the parent email, but they have never asked for the password; not while I was changing usernames, not while I was reporting anything. So that means one thing: This is a complete hack.

Be very careful where you tread, jammers, hackers are everywhere...

The final thing that I have to say today is something pretty sad, actually. Misstess, a good friend of mine, is quitting. She's quitting because DauphinRose, her closest friend, got hacked, (through her parent dashboard), and misstess didn't feel the need to support a game that wasn't 100% safe, that of which I completely understand.

However, the things that people are saying about her is what irks me. And saddens me at the same time.

So, 7 (a pretty famous jammer, it seems, since he's bepper's brother), started having a bit of 'drama' with misstess. Misstess removed him, they got in fight, etc. But, he posted a video talking about what misstess did, and he was angry at her. Did misstess post anything? No. She chose to leave it be.

A rumor has been spreading around that misstess HACKED her best friend, DauphinRose. That misstess was the hacker. Are you guys out of your minds!? You should be downright ASHAMED of yourselves, to even consider that option! Misstess has constantly been trying and putting good effort into making Jamaa a better place, and yet you still ignore all of her hard work. It is so upsetting to me, to know that people like this exist in the world:
Yes, something already bad happened to her. And don't you know it's just as cruel to wish bad upon others? She's receiving all this hate for no reason! Does anyone know how hurt she feels? That's right, no one knows how she feels about this. This is probably the first time that a buddy I've cared about a lot gets so much hate, and it makes me angry.

Misstess doesn't deserve this.

Big Thanks to NUMNUM13!

Please, PLEASE, if you are reading this, visit numnum13's amazing blog: Sol Lucet in Jamaa. She is an absolutely amazing jammer, and thanks to her CSS tips, I managed to figure out how to replace the 'newer' and 'older' links with images! (I'll add the 'Home' button soon.) Thank you so very very much, numnum13!

Isn't it amazing that she coded the whole thing all by herself? AMAZING OR WHAT? I have no idea how people can do such amazing things, but it's just SO AMAZING! (And there were way too many 'amazings' in this paragraph.) XD

Anyway, a big shout-out to numnum13, she's a great buddy and an absolutely wonderful person. :)

Sincerely,
~Comet

Bored on AJ? Read Below!

Hey Jammers! So let's say that you're super bored on Animal Jam...you don't really know what to do! Sure, you could hang out with some buddies, but most are either at a party or trading, or (if you're a early-riser like me), no buddies are really online! Uh-oh. Well, feel free to look back at this handy-dandy manual every single time you get bored. It'll really help, I promise. :3

(By the way, I am probably going to post all of this information into a new tab, just so that if people are still searching for it they don't have to look through all of my posts to find it.) XD

1.) Stop by Animal Jam Academy! It's a wonderful resource for getting rid of boring-ness. You can learn new things, watch videos, and print out coloring pages for fun.
2.) Explore Jamaa! Feel free to just look around and observe Jamaasian culture. What sort of things did AJ take the time to design? What sort of things really interest you about Jamaa? Empty worlds are the most fun, because you get less lag, AND you can still see the art instead of crowded Jammers everywhere. XD

3.) Go shopping for random items that you want. Shopping is always fun. You can either shop with friends and plan outfits together, or just visit the store. I would suggest actually going to the physical shop, instead of buying it from the regular menu, because then you can travel around more. :)
4.) Take pictures at the Photo Booth! Who doesn't want a little picture of themselves? You can pick your favorite outfit and pose for an awesome snapshot, and you can even edit it if you'd like. If only Animal Jam could incorporate several Jammer pictures at once, eh? ;)
5.) Watch moves at the Serapia Theater! Educational videos are a great way for you to learn and enjoy yourself at the same time, plus it's absolutely awesome that Animal Jam incorporates the videos into the game. You can grab a friend, grab some popcorn, and laugh at some of the videos and the odd animals portrayed in the videos. You'll be sure to have a good time. c:
6.) Edit your den to what you fancy! Editing dens takes up a lot of time, and it's also really fun. You can customize your den just the way you would like, and come up with creative ideas to do so. Editing a den describes your personality, and you want your personality to shine!
6.) Edit your looks! Be sure to freshen up your looks every once in a while. You may think that you have no idea what you can customize your animal to, but there are millions of different ways that you could customize your animal! Your brain is constantly thinking, and if you think about it, that means that you should be able to come up with tons of different ideas for your next outfit.
7.) Play a game of 'medic' with a friend, or just by yourself. I've always wanted to be a doctor when I grow up, so maybe it's a good idea. You can come up with some pretty wacky outfits with bandages and a band-aid. x3
8.) Yes, hang out with buddies. This is probably the most important one. Buddies are very important on Animal Jam, and hanging out with them just shows how much you care about them. If you never hang out with your buddies, you'll probably soon end up with 0, and of course, no one wants that! The more buddies, the better, I say. (Unfortunately we can't have more than 100 buddies at the moment...but some day AJ will add more spots to the list, I hope.)
9.) Meet new people! Wander around Animal Jam, there is a 100% chance you will meet someone new. There are 10 million jammers out there...so feel free to smile at a new person you happen to meet. They don't have to be your buddy, but maybe they'll become your buddy soon! :)

10.) Make a blog or create art! Ever since I was young, I was always into reading and watching other people's creations. Then, I decided to make my own AJ blog, because I was really ready to share my thoughts about certain things with the world. Creating has a different vibe than watching other people's creations, but it still has a certain pride to it. :)

11.) Enter or create a contest! Contests are fun; in a friendly, not-super-competitive manner. You might not really want to enter a contest just for the prize, but for the experience! It was always really fun to enter Kinyonga's contests because she had us draw pictures, write stories, etc., and encouraged us all to create. Miss you, Kin. c;

12.) Laugh. Look around at Jamaa...there are billions of things to laugh about. Laughing is a healthy reaction, so feel free to laugh as much as you'd like! Think of memories from when you first joined AJ, and smile because it all happened. I always laugh out-loud in Animal Jam; am I odd or what?
13.) Look at the old, and make the new... That doesn't mean you should be too sentimental, but think about how far (or how far you will go) with Animal Jam. If you've only been playing Animal Jam for a week, well, welcome to our community! If you've been playing for a year or two, think about the memories and how Animal Jam has changed you. Reflecting on these things isn't a bad thing!

14.) Make graphics of Animal Jam! Graphics are a fun way to improve your editing skills, plus, once you have made the graphics you want, you can share it on your blog for others to use. It's a great way to get involved in the community. c;

15.) Do good for other people. It doesn't take much, just a smile, a compliment, or sending someone a small gift. Give to people who never ask, or your buddies. Giving is a sign of maturity, and the understanding of the fact that it's just pixels. When you give, you will always feel happy afterwards, I promise you that. ^.^
16.) Scammer hunting? Here I come! Scams are everywhere, and no one wants to see scammers around every corner. Busy worlds tend to have more scammers, and more scammers = more unhappy/hurt people. If you ever see a scammer, feel free to report them! It might not do much, but many reports will eventually ban a scammer.

17.) Say funny, random things in Jamaa. People might look at you funny, but you'll have a really great laugh about it. Whenever I see people saying odd things, I always laugh at it. It's never a bad thing to troll...as long as it doesn't go over-board. XD
18.) Visit the Conversation Museum! There's probably lots of cool stuff there, including print-out activities, gem donations to certain animals, and videos about animals that amazingly pawsome. I definitely recommend giving the museum a visit!
19.) Tierney's Aquarium is also a great place to visit! The building has videos for you to watch, along with the pretty fish in the tanks. They're so cute, the little pixel fish. At least they're in pretty, blue water.
20.) If you're still bored...then you may have to get off the computer! You can stretch, do some drawing, eat something, read, or do anything that might rest your eyes for a bit. Doing too much computer strains your eyes and affects stress levels, so getting some fresh air will definitely help!

Those are probably all the ones that I have for now. I'll add more to it as I find more ideas. What do you guys think? Are you as bored as you were before? :)

Rant about Updates...

Hello Jammers! Thank you very much for your support and your advice on how I should post. I've decided to post funny pictures, interesting observations, Words w/ Comet, and rants about important and interesting updates. This way I can compromise with you guys! :3

Anyways, I need to talk to you guys about the new update:
First off, this first page update? Amazing. The fact that Animal Jam is trying to give more rights to non-members is absolutely amazing! And I am so happy that now non-members get to own two dens. :D

(Not to mention that Animal Jam released about three non-member items that day, heurheur.) c:
Next page; this is also pretty cool! As I mentioned earlier, the non-member den items are a very nice touch, and the new 'Welcome to Jamaa' experience is positively awesome.
It's an amazing new rendition to the game, and I'm pretty sure that many Jammers would love it! I wish that I could've seen the land moving as well, but that's okay. 'The Blue Heron,' (I know that many blogs have noted this, but I'll note it as well) sounds like Mira, eh? The boat even looks like Mira. That also makes me very pleased with this update as well. ^.^
Next page in the Journal:
Wow, guys, can you believe that Valentine's Day is coming up? Didn't that speed by really fast? That's how I feel, anyways. The new items are pretty awesome, too, along with the new printable Valentines. Very creative, AJ!
Yep, eagles are coming. Nothing much to say there, except for the fact that I'm extremely excited. (Birds are my favorite animals, you know, that's why I love the Birds of Paradise Party!) :3
And, finally, a page about the newly-made "AJ Academy." That is also a very nice touch to help other Jammers learn and do fun activities. c:

Now, let's get to the bad part about the update.

The chatting. What happened, AJ? Why did you make it nearly impossible to chat? Sure, there are some chances where I can make a face after the period, (I don't know how, but it only happens sometimes):
And I can actually enter that and show it! Isn't that odd? But it only works for that particular sentence and face, I think.

Some faces still work, such as: :3, x3, :), c:, :c, o3o, XD, :P, :D, :OO, :I. Other faces require an extreme amount of back-spacing, (a tip given to me from RockyTop2), O.O

Animal Jam, this new chatting system makes no sense at all. And it's pretty irritating that I can't type arrows either, which means a.) No hearts, b.) No arrows pointing to someone if I'm talking to a big crowd. That's going to be really hard.

Plus, silly faces can't be made anymore. The ones that require lots of spaces? Probably they aren't able to be typed anymore, and that's a complete bummer.

*Sigh,* oh well, I guess there's no helping it. That's probably about it for my rants today, I'll make a 'What to do when you're bored' post about AJ next weekend! (It's already in the making, hehe.) c;

Thank you! 10 Followers?

Wow guys...I'm speechless. 10 followers already? And this blog was created about two months ago or something; that means that I've accumulated roughly about 5 followers for each month! Thank you so much for all of your support, it really means a lot to me. 10 followers might not seem much to others, but it's a lot to me. :)

Also, I am going to announce a (possibly) new decision:

Should I continue daily updating, or should I post about different things? Since I don't really have the time to update daily a lot, it might be better for me to post about glitches, outfits, funny observations, etc.

What do you think? Please let me know by commenting below. ^.^
