Weird Title Contest!

Hello my little comets! Yep, that title is weird, but I like making weird titles! So, in honor of weird titles and how fun they are, I've decided to host a contest. The contest will end on July 2nd. (Nebula's birthday!) Here are the rules of the contest:

Goal: Make the weirdest blog post title that you can, but it can't be:
  • Inappropriate.
  • Disturbing in any way. (Nothing really weird, or else I will remove your comment.)
  • Insulting to pancakes. (Haha, just kidding! Do whatever you want with your weird title, as long as it's appropriate.) :)
It can be:
  • Silly! (The sillier, the better.)
  • Long, but it must be under 20 words.
  • Only one word. (Though I don't recommend this, you could try it if you want.)
I will be judging on creativity and humor.

The winner will receive:
To enter, please comment your weird title and your username. You don't have to enter your member status, since I have to trade you regardless since I am non-member. :3

Also: NO STEALING OTHER PEOPLE'S WEIRD TITLES! I will know whether you stole it or not, so don't even try. (Unless your idea accidentally slightly overlaps someone else's, that might be okay as long as it isn't word-for-word the exact same.)

And, as a bonus, all participants' weird titles will be used as my blog post titles once! Each participant's weird title will not be used in any particular order. 8D

Have fun! I'm looking forward to reading your titles. c:

Moving on, here is me being weird (there are just too many 'weirds' in this post):
My poor buddy's post might have been abused slightly by my wolf sitting on it. But only slightly, trust me!

Also, here's another jammer from the beta days:
It's always really cool to see jammers like this. I think it would be nice if Animal Jam made secret items that were non-member but then turned into member items (like the raccoon topiary, though I'm not particularly happy about that one). Eh, it doesn't sound really that cool since once you got your paws on the item you wouldn't be able to wear it or put it in your den. XD

And, last but not least!
Why did I have to get 3 diamonds in the daily spin when I became NON-MEMBER!? This exact same thing happened to me last year, the minute I became non-member I earned 3 gems in the daily spin. Oh, Animal Jam, sometimes you can be such a troll. :P

Whoa, I just realized that I have a lot of gems. I guess I recycle a lot of stuff often. O_O

Have a great day and happy weird title-making!

Crystal Den Pictures

Hello my little comets! I managed to sneak to my friend SuzyCupcake's den and take some screenshots of her den, the crystal den. It is a very pretty den, and it's pretty amazing. It's also HUGE. It feels sort of like some adventure base camp or something, it doesn't even feel like a den. Holy cow.

Here are some screenshots of it:

Aren't the statues to along the rim gorgeous? I especially love the center fountain. It is a very beautiful den, I just don't like how big it is. XD

(Big thanks to SuzyCupcake again for being my buddy and allowing me to visit her pawsome den.)

With this new update comes new glowing features when you edit your den:
It's kind of weird that the outer rim of your items glow. I am definitely not used to that, and it's pretty distracting. I wonder why AJHQ decided to do that all of a sudden? Maybe the new crystal den makes all things sparkly. owo

Anywhoozies, that's all to post for today. See you around! :)

Words w/ Comet #3: Animal Jam vs. Reality

Countless times, (and by countless, I mean a lot) have I seen Animal Jam YouTubers saying that they cut themselves or feel the need to commit suicide because of the drama and the bullying that they've experienced on Animal Jam. I know that most people who are reading this post do not feel the need to harm themselves, but if someone happens to pass by my blog, here's a message for you:

DO. NOT. COMMIT. SUICIDE.

Why?

Because your life is worth more than some online person told you. I know it's hard. I know that you want to 'escape.' Do. Not. You will live through this...but you are the only person in control of that. You are capable of handling this...but you are the only person in control of that.

In reality, you hold your life in your hands.

Why would you waste it?

Why would you waste it if you could do so much with your life? Why would you waste it if you could grow up, get a job that you will (hopefully) love, drive, and travel around the world? Why would you get rid of your life just because of what someone online said to you?

Your life is worth more than that. You were put into this world for a reason. You only get to live once. (Well, maybe you get to live more than once, I have no idea. None of us know, and if we do live more than once, we never remember, anyways.) That means that your life is very special. You are so lucky and extremely blessed to live. There are people dying in the world. Right at this moment. You survive from at least, what, I don't know, 1,000 things a day.

Think about it. You are extremely lucky.

And if you still don't buy it, if you still think that your life is worthless...look at the people around the world. They are starving. Hurting. Dying. People who can barely breathe, people who have to live on the streets. If you lived, you could do something for them. If you think YOUR life is worthless, what about other lives?

If you think you shouldn't save YOUR life, why not save others?

If you help people, just a little bit, you'll feel better about yourself, too. You'll begin to love yourself, you'll begin to feel happy that you are helping people. You can even do something small, such as writing a blog post, (like what I'm doing right now.) But I'm not writing this blog post to make myself feel better. I'm doing it for you.

Whoever you are, wherever you are, your life is worth it. It is worth more than this online game and this online person who said such terrible things to you. I know that whatever you are going through is hard, and that it is really painful for you. You can make it through it, I promise you. And then, once you've gone through whatever you've gone through, you'll feel proud.

You'll think, I made it. And then you'll know that you can survive life. Interesting concept, right? Life is truly a really messed up place. But it is also beautiful. Just look around you. Don't look at your computer screen. Look at this world. Look at the sky, the clouds, the animals. Sometimes I just look around and think, "This is amazing." It truly is! We, as humans, are co-existing with these creatures. We've developed our own language, our brains can comprehend things. We can communicate with each other.

And, most importantly, we can help each other.

And that is the main reason why you are here. To help. Whatever you do as your job, it's to help others. If you become a truck driver, you help transport things for other companies and people so that they can maintain their jobs. As a writer, you can help readers develop their vocabulary so that maybe they can become writers, too. As an artist, you can help others understand the beauties of art.

If you are thinking about cutting...

...Well, guess what I'm going to say?

DON'T.

The first thing that I don't understand about people who feel the need to cut or commit suicide is the fact that they never think about talking to their parents. If you committed suicide, how would your parents feel? None of us understand how much our parents love us. I don't yet, either (come on, stop staring at me like that, I'm not that old XD), but imagine this:

Imagine that you had a child, a soft, sweet baby, who you watched grow up. Imagine that you watched him get married, watched him have his own children. Imagine the things that he did that made you laugh when he was a child, or the way he drove you crazy because he would never stop ranting about the new Spiderman movie that came out.

Now, imagine that you found that your child had committed suicide because of what people had said to him. And imagine that he never even told you.

How would you feel?

If you feel the need to cut or commit suicide, please PLEASE PLEASE DON'T. Take a break from the computer. Find other hobbies, like drawing, reading, etc. Listen to some music. Take a walk.

And, most importantly, tell your parents.

You might be afraid that they'll ban you from your computer (OH NOEZ, I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT THE COMPUTER FOR A DAY), and chances are, they will. But it's better to not have the computer for a day than for you to not have your life anymore. And your parents will respect you, too, for telling them.

Don't ever hide things from your parents.

I know, it's so easy to lie to them. Don't. Lies only get worse, and they never fully disappear. I mean, I could post videos on my YouTube channel if I really wanted to, but my parents urged me not to. And I don't. Lying to your parents is so hard to do anyway, if I ever feel the need to lie to my parents I just get this terrible feeling in my gut. I suck at lying, and the only thing that I lie about is the fact that "No, I haven't been on the computer that long," (when, in reality, I've been on it for an hour or two.) I'm 100% sure that my parents knew that I was lying, but they dropped the subject. :P

Your parents are the people who can help you the most. I am probably not the most reliable source, since I've never experienced extreme cyber-bullying before, but if you need advice, I'll be right here. :)

Stay strong. God loves you. And if you do not believe in God, someone loves you anyway. Whether it be your parents, friends, teachers. And if you still don't think anyone loves you, I do! I love you because you are reading this, and you have the will to stay alive.

That is why your life is priceless.

Thomas Edison Plaque!

Hiya my little comets! Are you at least a little curious about the title? Good, because I'm going to make you wait until the end of the post to read about it. (Hehe, I am so evil, but then again, if you didn't want to bother with the rest of the post you could just scroll down and read the end.) 8D

Anywhoozies, look at what I got in the Daily Spin today!
The gifts that I got were mech angel wings and a neck wreath thing. Coolio! It's interesting that you can get prizes based on how many days you come on. Good job on luring jammers to come on every day, AJHQ! ;)

Moving forward, did you notice that the door to the Medical Center swings open?
Isn't that interesting? I swear, I never saw that before. Maybe Animal Jam incorporated a swinging door later. If you look closely at it, it looks sort of grainy. That's usually what happens when Animal Jam posts gifs. It takes on this sort of grainy quality. I wonder if the swinging door is some sort of animation gif that Animal Jam uses? :3
I was laughing really hard earlier with some of my friends; Lemo, Confection (aka Comfy/Misstess, she came back!), and a new jammer, Blossom Shylady, though I forgot her username. ^^;

We were talking about food, but then somehow, we touched on the topic of the Thomas Edison plaque! This is basically the gist of it: We think that it would be great if Animal Jam hosted IDEA contests. To put it simply, Animal Jam makes a post on DE about what things we'd like to see throughout Jamaa, and whoever posts an idea that AJHQ most likes wins a plaque with a lightbulb on it, or a Thomas Edison plaque!

It's kind of a combination of an accessory contest and the question mark things that you see throughout Jamaa, but instead, you can do any idea, like: new animals, new items, (I myself would suggest a chocolate fountain), or any activities/holidays that you think should be added to Jamaa!

And, of course, the coolest prize is that your idea would actually come to the game. =^.^=

But guess what? Comfy said that I won the first contest for coming up with the idea of an idea contest. (Though she helped, so we should both get Thomas Edison plaques.) XD

Have a wonderful day,
~Comet

Non-memberness & Parties

Haillo my little comets! I am so sorry for not posting in forever, I had camp this week. It was a lot of fun. Anywhoozies, would you lookie here:
Yep, I'm non-member! It's actually surprisingly a little more fun. Being a member for so long kind of made me overwhelmed. Yes, members get lots of privileges, but being a non-member really helps bring out a creative side in you. I'm trying really hard to make my den look as nice as possible, and with non-member items, it can get a little tricky.

Even now I'm still working on designing my den. XD

If any of you guys have or know anyone who has blue rose garlands (the more faded blue, not the bright blue), please let me know! I'd be happy to offer for them. :)

Next up, look at this jammers:
This jammer, reedles, has a milky-colored tiara with a PURPLE GEM. (My friend told me his username, but I will not name her due to anonymous reasons.) Isn't that interesting? Who knew that someone could get a tiara like that? How did he get it?

Speaking of weird stuff and weird colors, look at this:
This jammer (who is also my friend) has odd colors of items! As you know, the lassos only come in dark brown, pink, and blue, but she has orange and purple. My guess is that these are like the glitched rings, they were originally colors but then later removed from the game. Odd, eh?

As for the elf shoes, the ones on the top right are the original ones, but the ones on the bottom left are a glitched color!

How are people getting this stuff? It's very interesting.

Also, the buddy jam-a-grams have changed:
(Big thanks to infinity670 for buddying my storage so that I figured this out!) XD

And, last but not least:
At Gamer_girl's blog, she gave special shout-outs to a few jammers. One of them was me, and she said the sweetest things and wrote the most heartwarming poem. Thank you, gamer. I will miss you and everybody else. c:

One more announcement:

Near the end of the year, I will host a smaller, good-bye party. It won't be with everyone, but just a lot of you guys who have supported my blog and close buddies. This party won't be a party for tears, but it will be a celebration! I will celebrate meeting you and getting to know you all...

...and you might get to hear me give a farewell speech, too, if you come to the party. (Yep, me and my failed speech skills.) Anyways, I'll elaborate on it more later. I just need to brainstorm a bit more.

And, one comment question of the day:
Should I write an autobiography about my Animal Jam life? (It will start from when I first arrived to when I met you guys during blogging, and to where I am now.)

Have a great rest of the day!

New Jam-a-Grams & Summer Info!

Hello my little comets! I noticed an odd glitch the other day when I went to my den. (Note that my den was locked, which makes this even weirder!) I had originally teleported from Jamaa Township to my den, so this poor jammer probably got glitched. XD
Well, she does have wings, so I guess it (sort of) makes sense that she's floating! :P

Whoopsies, looks like my jam-a-gram number count can't seem to sit still today:
Speaking of jam-a-grams, there's tons of new ones! By tons, I mean...tons. There's one featuring every animal: raccoons, eagles, snow leopards, arctic wolves, hyenas, pandas, etc. It's kind of hard to scroll through all of them, though, and now I can't easily access my favorite jam-a-gram, the "You always make me smile!" one. Darn. DX

Still, the new jam-a-grams are coolio!
(This was a nice jam-a-gram from Rainbowcat1 when she sent me an Ice Mira. Thank you, Rainbow!) c:
And of course, there are far more jam-a-grams than that, but I'm just, you know...SLEEPY AS A KOALA! Hehehehe. (Or lazy as a koala, your choice.)

Okay, moving on to the next part of this post: I've been thinking about summer plans and what I am going to be doing after the summer. I know that next year, during the school year, I will probably have no time at all to post about or even play on Animal Jam. Things will be getting really busy for me next year.

I don't want to think of quitting right now, but unfortunately, it may have to happen in the future. I probably won't hire any authors (I kind of wanted this blog to be a solo project). However, I will be more active on my DeviantArt, if you want to talk to me there. My interests are changing, and they are fading away from Animal Jam. :(

The reason why I am so hesitant to leave is because of you guys. You all have really supported me and made this experience AWESOME for me! I love all of your blogs and your comments, and your awesome personalities. This is a great community, and I'm glad to be a part of it!

I'm not quitting yet, though! I'm going to post for the whole summer, (3 months), and after that, we'll see what's going to happen. XD

Thank you all so much,
~Comet

Great Friends & Role Models

Hiya my little comets! Sorry for the late post, I've been traveling this whole weekend for the summer. Yep, summer has already started for us (a little earlier than usual, but it's pretty awesome!) Anywhoozies, you can probably expect me to post quite often this summer. :3

Because many of my friends like wolfiepaws and numnum13 did little special signatures for their buddies, I thought it would be a great idea to try, too! Here are some wonderful buddies & role models who have helped shape me to be come who I am today:
And there are far more that will be released! This is only the first segment of more to come.

I want to thank you (and many more of my readers) for supporting me and my blog this whole year! I know that we will become even greater friends in the future. :')

Thank you,
~Comet
